Description
Creating a new definition for more power, Athena Computer Power Corp. proudly introduces the new 500 Watt PSU, the ATLAS 500, model number (AP-RRP4ATX6508). This Mini-Redundant power supply provides power reliability to server builders and computer users with the power they want and need. The Mini-Redundant power supply unit not only services an extra unit that standbys 24/7, but also minimizes power lost and creates efficiency by eliminating issues of overheating power adapters. The ATLAS 500 Watt Mini-Redundant features an Active PFC (Power Factor Correction), remote ON/OFF function, and 80PLUS certification.
Hot Swap and Power Redundancy
This feature is an important asset to today’s server builders. Having an uninterrupted power source that improves reliability in servers this is a key essential in today’s need to be constantly online. When two power supplies are installed, they are redundant, sharing the electrical load equally if both supplies are operational. If one power supply stops functioning for any reason, the remaining power supply instantly begins providing all the power the router needs for normal functioning, and can provide full power indefinitely.
Active PFC, Full Range, and You.
The Active PFC and Full Range function provides a smarter PSU. Able to detect the differences of wattage that is needed to power up your system, you can be rest assured as it will provide and maintain the most suitable power needed.
Multiple Support Function
Supporting ATX V2.3, EPS-12V Xeon, and i7 motherboards it also includes 4x PCI-E 6-pin connectors for advanced graphics cards running in quad SLI or Crossfire configuration. This PSU can be used for mini-servers, server assemblies, and rackmount servers.
Dual Front Fan
With its dual fan features located at the front of the power supply, the rear fan intakes the heat that is produced inside the server or system and pushes it through the front fan. This design allows the power supply to be able to take 100% of the heat that is generated by the interior system and pushes it out of the server/system. While some other PSU fans work differently, this dual fan design is targeted to maintain a reliable source of power and keeping the system cool. Some may second guess this dual fan feature because it will increase noise volumes, but with its thermal fan speed control it will detect the amount of heat generated by the computer and spin accordingly.
Smart Auto Fan Speed Controller
Thermal fan speed control will detect the amount of heat generated by the computer. Using this controller to detect the heat levels, it will automatically adjust the fan speed accordingly and the need to worry about the heat levels, of a PSU, becomes almost non-existent.
80PLUS Certification
Saving energy has become an important factor when choosing the correct power supply. The ATLAS 500 Watt is one of the latest Mini Redundant PSU’s that brandishes 80PLUS certification. Providing efficiency during max and low loads this PSU lives up to the standards of today’s world.
80PLUS certification requires a power supply to operate at a minimum of 80% efficiency. The certification level of 80PLUS certification indicates that the power supply operates at a minimum of 80% efficiency at 20% and 100% load, and 85% efficiency at 50% load. According to test results, the ATLAS500 Plus has passed all requirements and has exceeded the 80PLUS requirements
