Achieve Close-Tolerance Finishes
3M™ Microfinishing Film Sheet 268L helps operators achieve precise, controlled, close-tolerance surface finishes on metals, plastics and wood. This product features precision, micron-graded aluminum oxide, resin-bonded to a high-strength, durable polyester backing. Aluminum oxide is desirable among industrial professionals for its fast cut-rate and long life.

Available in a wide variety of grades, operators should consider target tolerances when selecting the right film sheet. One of the best benefits of having the abrasive in sheet form is that it can be converted to match the dimensions of your part or project. It can also be used by hand or with a variety of other tools.

Run It Wet or Dry
The polyester backing on 3M™ Microfinishing Film Sheet 268L maintains its strength and flexibility when run. Polyester is water resistant and can be run wet or dry. Coolant generally extends abrasive life, increases cut rate and prevents loading. Therefore, using a coolant like water may be desirable during different finishing operations.
