Key points

  • Micron-graded diamond mineral delivers a wide range of surface finishes and stock removal for all customer requirements

  • Color coded to reduce the risk of error and mixing up abrasive grades
Designed with a polyester film backing and diamond mineral, the 3M Diamond Microfinishing PSA Film Sheet 675L delivers a range of finishes on hard materials like thermal spray coating, ceramics, carbides, chilled iron and granite.

High-quality Materials for Micro-finishing
3M™ Diamond Microfinishing PSA Film Sheet 675L securely anchors micron-graded diamonds to a polyester film backing. Known for its durability, the polyester film backing assists in product flexibility and life. The sheets are also color coded by grade to help you reduce the risk of selecting the wrong grade.

Waterproof Backing and Easy Attachment
Polyester film backings are water resistant, so the abrasive may be run with a lubricant, which helps remove swarf and debris. This film also uses pressure sensitive adhesive, which allows for easy attachment, and can be removed without leaving any sticky residue.

Tips for Achieving Desired Roughness Average
Many micro-finished products require a specific Ra, or roughness average. To obtain the desired Ra when applying thermal spray coatings, we recommend following a unique sequence of steps tailored to the substrate. It is important for operators to consider these factors – Ra and substrate – when selecting the grade of film for this sheet.
